Following its closure, GES-2 found new purpose under the ownership of the V-A-C Foundation, which led an ambitious restoration and renovation initiative. This undertaking aims to repurpose the main building and its surroundings into a vibrant cultural destination for the city of Moscow. Spearheading the redesign of GES-2 is the Renzo Piano Building Workshop.
