PROJECT CONCEPT
The hotel, originally inaugurated by Isaac Horton in 1879 to designs by Thomson Plevins, has a historical backgroud of hosting both royalty and rock stars. Over the years, it has served as a bustling hub in the city for meetings, networking, and spectacular events, particularly in its awe-inspiring Grand Ballroom.

After undergoing an extensive £50 million restoration and refurbishment, Birmingham’s original grande-dame hotel triumphantly reopened its doors in May 2021. This marked a momentous occasion as the hotel had remained closed for nearly two decades.
